What is Yös?

YÖS (Foreign Student Exam) is an entrance exam used by foreign students who want to study at universities in Turkey in their applications and taken into account in the placement processes.

Previously, while each university organized its own exam, it was decided to conduct a centralized exam with a decision taken in 2010. This central exam has been started to be applied under the name of "Student Admission Exam from Abroad in Turkey" (TR-YÖS).

TR-YÖS is an exam organized by ÖSYM every year and held twice a year.

Apart from TR-YÖS, universities in Turkey also accept exam results that are valid at the international level. These exams include Dec, SAT, GCE, ACT and national exams of various countries. Thanks to this, students from different educational systems are offered a wide range of admission opportunities. By accepting students with such exams in order to contribute to the educational lives of foreign students, universities in Turkey increase the diversity in the international field and provide a global educational experience to their students.
