Yaşar University became law with the law No. 4633 approved by the Grand National Assembly on 29.03.2001 and started education at Alsancak Campus in the city in the 2002-2003 academic year.
Yaşar University is the university of the foundation established by Yaşar Holding, which houses the most reliable companies of Turkey. Our students and graduates also have internship and job opportunities at Yaşar Group companies at our university, which was established by the Selçuk Yaşar Sports and Education Foundation.

Yaşar University, with the support of Erasmus Programs, has cooperation and exchange agreements in many fields at 229 universities in 28 different EU countries. He was awarded the “Erasmus Success Story” award by the European Commission.
Within the scope of ISEP International Student Exchange Program, we have exchange agreements at undergraduate and graduate level with 259 universities in 50 different countries around the world. However, we have bilateral agreements with many distinguished universities such as USA, Australia, UK.
There are many laboratories, studios and general areas equipped with the latest technology available for the use of our students according to their areas of expertise.
Computer laboratory, CAD/CAM laboratory, ergonomics laboratory, language laboratory, electronics laboratory, conference room, pocket cinema, courtroom, painting and graphic workshops, architecture workshop. In total, about 500 computers are serving in 14 laboratories.
Establishment Decision
Selçuk Yaşar Sports and Education Foundation decided to establish a university under the name of Yaşar University in 1999. Yaşar Group, known for its contribution to the industry and its leadership, has set out to create a university that aims to be a pioneer again.

Publications at Yaşar University Library and Information Center are divided according to their subjects using the LC (Library of Congress) classification system and placed on shelves according to the open shelf system. Subject headings are given to the publications from the LCSH (Library of Congress Subject Headings) subject headings list in accordance with their contents and are translated into Turkish and used. For the publications that are provided to the library by providing the cataloging process, the cataloging process is performed electronically using the International Anglo-American Cataloging Rules 2 and the bibliographic tags are made available for access electronically.
